If you’re a friend of mine on Facebook, you know that several weeks ago I posted that the Pandora station I created based off of Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” was one of the better ones I’d made. A Facebook-status-worthy kind of “better.”
I was sold on it within 10 minutes when the first three songs that played were Madonna’s “Material Girl,” Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” and the Pointer Sisters’ “Jump.”
That’s just a good time all around.
Now, I’ve tried creating others, but normally within several songs I become disappointed, delete the station, and go back to my tried and true “Happiness”-based dance station (a song of Alexis Jordon’s … look it up, you’ll like it). But this new one seemed to stick.
And then just this past week I get this email from Pandora:
Now I’m sure others are getting a similar email from Pandora. Big difference is that I’m sure their stations highlight Taylor Swift, The Wanted and Gotye (and yes, I just had to check out the iTunes top 10 downloads to come up with some of those names. Seriously, who’s Gotye?! Fun song, though).
And then you come to my “likes.” Rick Astley. Billy Ocean. Pointer Sisters.
Yes. I’m officially awesome.
