Quick and Easy Banana Bread


I may only bake one (or maybe twice) a year, but I end up with overripe bananas about once a week. A quick Google search later for a recipe, and I was making banana bread.

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla (I used almond extract)


  1. Preheat oven to 350º
  2. Mix butter and sugar
  3. Add eggs and bananas
  4. Premix flour, soda and salt and add to mixture.
  5. Add vanilla or almond extract.
  6. Once mixed, add to a greased bread pan
  7. Bake for 55 minutes.
  8. EAT IT!
